Burning incense, waving prayer flags and imposing shrines await you in this region steeped in Tibetan culture. This tour takes you through the legendary place - Shangri-La: Heaven on earth. The pinnacle of this tour would have to be a visit to Meili Snow Mountain 10 km north of Deqin on the border between Tibet and China. Meili is a holy mountain of worship for devout Tibetan pilgrims. You will visit deep gorges, temples and rivers. The fog of Tibetan culture and mountains will clear as you uncover this region.

Itinerary
Day 1
Take the bus from Lijiang to Shangri-La (Zhongdian) or BenZilan. On the way, visit he First Turb of the Yangtze River, Tiger Leaping Gorge. In the evening, (optional visit the Tibetan Houses and the "Shangri-la Dream". Stay at Shangri-la (standard room with the private bathroom)
Day 2
From Shangri-La driving about 6~7hours to Feilai Temple to get a panoramic view of the thirteen peaks of the Meili Snow Mountain region. Before leave for Feilai temple, visit the Songzan Lin temple. Stay at hotel in the Feilai Temple (standard room with the private bathroom)
Day 3
From Feilai Temple driving about 2 hours to Mingyong village, then hiking about4~5hours to visit the Mingyong Glacier. After that driving back to Benzi Lan to stay. Stay at Ben Zilan (standard room with private bathroom)
Day 4
From BenZilan/Shangri-La head back to Lijiang, on the way stop to visit Nixi village and the petteries.
