Sleepy Inn Lijiang is centrally located in the Shuhe Ancient Town, Lijiang, Yunnan Province of China. Shuhe Ancient Town is one of the three ancient towns of Lijiang. Different from the Dayan Ancient Town, Shuhe features more natural and peaceful elements. There are excellent views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the town due to its proximate distance. The water supply in the town is spring water coming from the snow mountain. In addition, Shuhe Ancient Town used to be an important hub on the old Tea-Horse Road. This historic town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 for its multi-ethnic charm, historical milieu and architectural landscape.
All the buildings reflect the rich fabric of the locale through their design and furnishings. Two main guestroom buildings include 17 comfortable guestrooms all with modernized bathrooms. A two-level house is situated in the back garden and serves as a multi-functional lounge. Sleepy Inn Lijiang has the only swimming pool with water coming from the snow mountain. The front yard is traditional Naxi style designed and a terrace located in the front yard has excellent views of the river and trees besides the house. Orchid Yard
The Naxi Style Yard is landscaped by fountains, stones and garden plants. A big cluster of orchids are the focus point of this area. The Orchid spreads its fragrance for the whole yard. The riverside terrace is located next to the yard with excellent views of the town. Under the terrace is the Chinese classic pavilion which is heated by the Tibetan style fire in winter
Pool & Garden
It is a romantic idea to build a swimming pool at Sleepy Inn Lijiang which becomes the only one in Shuhe Ancient Town. The pool is attractive in the garden with clean water piped from the fountain of the town. The pool and garden area is also a unique place to have a cocktail or BBQ party for a small group or a romantic dinner just for you and your love.
