Exchange Market

The exchange market starts at the beginning of march and July in the lunar month. They are a part of important festivals in the Lijiang area. It lasts for 15 days, during this festival is the best time to exchange livestock, buying mang goods for local people to use.

During this festival, people(Naxi, Bai,Yi, Lisu, Tibet ) from all around Lijiang area take livestock, many herbs and other products come to market to exchange. Also the Han from all around China bring clothes and tools for local people to buy. The market is full of many goods, also people from all around and sometimes there are big celebrations taking place, including dancing and singing.
